Indy 500 Challenge

The most famous and celebrated car race in America is the Indy 500. The Indy 500 started in 1911 and has grown with over a hundred years of history. The race is popular to watch because IndyCars are the fastest form of racing. IndyCar top speeds reach 236 mph and can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in about 3 seconds. That’s fast! 

Winners in IndyCar drink milk on top of the podium. The tradition was started by an executive for the Milk Foundation. He saw the importance of influencing a healthier generation by demonstrating healthy habits. Since then, drivers have continued to drink milk after race victories.

In order to enjoy the victory glass of milk, the driver and the pit crew have to be efficient and work as a team. Try out the KidsFit Indy 500 Challenge with your pit crew to practice becoming efficient with your team! 

Here’s How You Do It:

Get your pit crew together (up to 4 people) and complete one rep of the movements below for each lap of the race! Split the movements and repetitions up as needed, but remember only one person can be completing movements at a time! See how fast you can complete all 200 repetitions.
