How To Do Shoulder Bridges
Shoulder bridges are a great exercise to help strengthen the back side of your body. Strengthening these muscles helps you improve running, jumping and your posture.
- Lay on your back with your hands by your sides, your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
- Make sure your feet are under your knees.
- Raise your hips up to create a straight line from your knees to shoulders.
- If your hips drop, lower yourself back on the floor.
Squeeze your buns and hold the bridge position for a few seconds. Hold the position longer as you build your strength.
Challenge YOURSELF! Each time you perform the shoulder bridge at home, try to hold it an extra 5 seconds!
