How To Do Shoulder Bridges

Shoulder bridges are a great exercise to help strengthen the back side of your body. Strengthening these muscles helps you improve running, jumping and your posture.

  1. Lay on your back with your hands by your sides, your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
  2. Make sure your feet are under your knees.
  3. Raise your hips up to create a straight line from your knees to shoulders.
  4. If your hips drop, lower yourself back on the floor.

Squeeze your buns and hold the bridge position for a few seconds. Hold the position longer as you build your strength.

Challenge YOURSELF! Each time you perform the shoulder bridge at home, try to hold it an extra 5 seconds!
